An obvious, but often overlooked tip when styling a product photo.

The human element is often added in photos to help us connect to an image, relate to it, envision ourselves being there or using the product, and sometimes to help provide a sense of size.

One of the tricky parts was not being able to see what I was doing. I had my glasses off to aim for a more authentic look.

Luckily, a lot of the time I’m creating self-portraits I can’t really see what I’m doing in any screen anyway.

Once I got my feet in those boots, I was inspired for an urban styled shoot and decided the setting for it would be a parking garage downtown.

I loved the idea of embodying my birthstone in a photo shoot, so I immediately shopped for a backdrop and dresses. But the backdrop didn’t arrive!

The most common question I get asked is about how many photos a brand can expect to receive in an hour or two. This is the hardest question to answer because it depends on so many different factors.

Our stories are great little bites of content, but now if you have something that will take a lot of stories to share, it might work better on IGTV! Or both? We're all still learning how to best use Instagram video.
